william atkinson or billy as he was most commonly known was my dad. He was only 61 years old.
He was one of nine children, My dad was the third youngest. he has three sisters Ethel,Mona and Dot. he has five brothers Tom, Ged, George (who is sadly no longer with us) Charlie (who is sadly no longer with us) and John (who is sadly no longer with us)
My dad always told me that he had, had a happy childhood, playing and getting into trouble with his brothers and sisters especially Tom who was more like a best mate than a brother.
My dad often told me stories about when he was younger and him and his brother Tom used to get each other into trouble, and when they used to climb up tyne dock arches before they were demolished to steal the pigeons and take them home but the pigeons always used to fly back to the arches, so they used to do it all again.
He once told me a story of when he was a little boy he fell down some metal stairs and was seriously injured.
He used to work delivering beer, he had an accident which resulted in him having to have a heart bypass at 38, and some years later he had to have another one but he was a fighter and he survived this one aswell, My dad wasn't well man during his life but he was happy, he loved spending time with his family and friends and they loved spending time with him.
My dad married his wife linda on October 6th 1973 This was a very happy day for both of them. In 1980 they had me their only child, my dad used to tell me that they only had one child because they couldnt make perfection twice. He doted on his only granddaughter chloe who was born in 1997.
He was poorly for long time but we never expected him to die. He was such a great man and will be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his wife,my mam linda. and chloe his everloving granddaughter.
I miss him more and more everyday especially at christmas time because christmas is a time for familys.
I know that all of his other family and friends miss him to, but one good thing is that now he is with his mam and dad and other family members who are no longer here.
Even though we cant see him and he cant talk to us he is always there watching over us listening to us and laughing with us. When the wind blows in our hair its him and when the sun shines on are face its him.
No one had a bad word to say against my dad he was such a nice person he got on with everyone. He played darts for a while and he played dominos for the fountain pub team. He also supported Manchester United football team and would often watch the game with his brother Tom.
Dad i miss you so much more and more each day, i love you loads.

I have been thinking about you so much lately dad, we have had another birthday without you and chloe has just celebrated her 15th birthday. life is so hard at times without you here. I miss so much not being able to talk to you. there is so much i want to tell you to ask your opinion about.

I hope you are enjoying your 66th birthday just wished I could of shared it with you.You are in my thoughts all the time especially today I love and miss you always.Chloe is 14 on wednesday you would be proud of her she is so grown up.Angela and Chloe are good kids they look after me the way you would of exspected.There is only one person missing that is you there is such a big whole in all our lives.
